Code of conduct

How students, teachers and guests behave at Monks by Monastic, and how conduct issues are handled.

Why we have one

Monks by Monastic teaches inside a working agency, on real brand work, with real people. This code keeps that safe and useful for everyone: students, teachers, the Monastic Media team, guests and clients. Your enrolment agreement makes it part of your terms.

How we work together

  • Treat everyone with respect, in person, on calls and online.
  • Show up, do the work and submit the output every week.
  • Give and take feedback honestly and act on it.
  • Ask when you are stuck; help your batchmates when you can.
  • Be honest about your work. Do not present someone else's work as yours, and say when a tool wrote part of it.

Client work and confidentiality

  • Client accounts, briefs, numbers, files and conversations you see in the programme are confidential.
  • Never copy, download or share client data, ad accounts or unreleased work outside the programme.
  • When you post your weekly work on LinkedIn, share what you built and learned, never a client's private data, without written permission.
  • Use any access you are given only for the task you were given.

Not allowed

  • Harassment, bullying, discrimination or abuse of any kind, including about gender, caste, religion, region or disability.
  • Sharing anyone's personal details, including phone numbers, without their consent.
  • Recording sessions or people without permission.
  • Damaging, misusing or getting around the security of any account, tool or system.

If something goes wrong

Raise it with your teacher, or with the Grievance Officer if you prefer: see Grievance redressal. We look into every report, keep it as private as we can, and never act against anyone for raising a concern in good faith.

What we may do

Depending on what happened: a conversation, a written warning, removal of access to client work, suspension, or ending your place in the programme, as your enrolment agreement sets out.
